Arrive in Singapore.

We write this from terminal 2 in Singapore airport, this place is like a city in a building and can apparently cater for 23,000,000 people per year! no wonder we have already lost three participants! There are two other terminals that also cater for up to 40,ooo,ooo as well. We have just finished our free hour and a half colonial city tour - it was cool! oh and hot. We have had our first intro to 35 degree heat at 6.30am.

Wow, what a long flight, well 10 hours anyway. Of course I was pretty excited about flying Singapore airways because of the individual movies and PlayStation; it turned out that the PlayStation part was a bit of a let down but what a selection of flicks! Anyway to the important stuff. We all finally arrived in Auckland and it was really easy to find each other. We just looked like we were in the group. There are 17 in all, from all over the country. Sixteen were flying out from Auckland and we picked up Ben in Singapore.

Apart from ignoring the original plan of meeting at the check in, we had our own informal meeting outside MacDonald's. much like the first group we were all very excited and looked like wide eyed rabbits in the middle of a dog show!!!

As it was Leah's birthday while we were flying, we decided to light a birthday cake at the Cafe upstairs, thought best not to try this on the plane!!!! A nice way to get to know each other early in the piece.

Apart from getting used to having dinner on the plane at 3.30am, it has all gone quite smoothly so far. We are all pretty knackered and looking forward to sleep.

Oh well better head off and find our lost sheep! We will chat again from Siem Reap.
